Six Sigma Methodology

The Six Sigma Methodology is a business management improvement strategy originally developed and implemented by Motorola in the 1980’s that allows companies to constantly monitor and revise their operations, allowing improved output quality. Today this proven methodology continues to be relevant and is now a widespread application in many sectors of industries and international companies across the globe.

Six Sigma works by seeking out and identifying the causes of defects and errors within manufacturing and business processes and allows specialists and operators to take action to remove or modify these areas of interest. The Six Sigma Methodology can effectively pinpoint easily overlooked sources of defects within the broad and complicated spectrum of operations by utilizing a set of quality management methods. This process has simultaneously created a unique infrastructure of skilled individuals that has proliferated within the EWT organization to form a dynamic network of experts who in turn impart these techniques to their contemporaries, thus ensuring a continuation of expertise.

Every project within the EWT organization follows the sequence of steps defined by Six Sigma and has specific and clear objectives. In practice, this would mean that EWT projects are first scrutinised and analysed by a team of Six Sigma certified Black Belt and Green Belt experts beforehand to establish viable and qualified financial targets that will in the long run bring about cost reductions for better product competitiveness.
